Cisco ready to cut 5000
Cisco will announce layoffs next month, and a San Jose tech giant says that there could be as many as 5000. One reason for this is that there was a 32.5% fall in Cisco's stock in the last 12 months. An undisclosed number of workers has already left because of an early retirement offer that Cisco had to save $1 billion in operating costs. The CEO, John Chambers, will talk about some of his networking strategies at an event in Las Vegas on Tuesday. Cisco stopped selling flip cameras which resulted in 50 people losing their job. Cisco will stop useless businesses and people will lose their jobs. Cisco is not making as much profit and they need to have some people lose their jobs.
